We celebrated the 50th UAE National day, a special occasion that marks the federalization of authorities, the embracement of families and tribes, and the significance of a unified vision and leadership.

UAE amends its law to decriminalize bounced cheques.

The UAE Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Justice have all amended the Commercial Transactions Law to make bounced checks non-criminal. The regulator and the ministries made adjustments to the partial payment of cheques and strengthened administrative penalties in situations where they were issued without funds as a result of the amendments.
UAE announces 5 year visa for retired expats.

There are presently over 35 million expatriate employees in GCC nations, and a significant section of the white-collar population may like to retire and stay back in the GCC. The UAE Government has been launching a series of groundbreaking visa schemes to attract and retain talents, and make the UAE the best place to work and live in.

The United Arab Emirates to host the COP28

By hosting Cop 28 in 2023, UAE will have the opportunity to bring the world together and be on track towards a more inclusive and equitable energy transition. UAE is building a coal-fired power station and expects to raise its oil production capacity to more than 5 million barrels per day by 2030. 
UAE announces reduced working week to “boost productivity”
The government of the United Arab Emirates has announced a major shift in the official working week to four and a half days. Beginning January 1, 2022, all federal government employees will work Monday through Thursday, with the weekend falling on Saturday and Sunday. While the private sector employers can choose whether to adopt the new weekend and shorter working week.
