The UAE has launched a new visa rule for parents in the UAE to sponsor their sons' visas till their boys reach the age of 25; a raise from the earlier limit of 18. The new visa sponsorship rule is launched as a part of Projects of the 50, drawing on the success of the last 50 Years to chart out the success of the next 50. The new system provides more benefits to family members, allowing residents to easily issue residence permits for their family members, including spouse and children, and will help them cut costs and not stress over visas whether they were visiting as students or tourists.
Parents in the UAE have expressed their relief and gratitude when the UAE Cabinet announced the biggest reforms to the country's entry and residency visa scheme, where the unmarried daughter’s parents will be able to sponsor their visas regardless of their age.
In addition to the regular tourist visa, a five-year, multi-entry tourist visa was introduced.
This form of visa does not require a sponsor and permits the holder to stay in the country for up to 90 days. It can be extended for a similar amount of time as long as the total stay does not exceed 180 days in a year.
This visa requires proof of having a bank balance of $4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies during the last six months before submitting the application.
To encourage investors and entrepreneurs to explore business and investment prospects in the UAE, this type allows for easy entry without the need for a sponsor or host.
